Stephen worked in investment banking IT for 15 years including for JPMorgan, HSBC and BNP Paribas, and has in-depth technical and business knowledge of electronic trading systems. His roles have always been business-facing, and he is very versatile in being able to work on technical IT development but at the same time, working directly with trading desk heads, traders and business users, and directly managing projects with them.
Steven began his career as a developer for James Capel, a Gilt-edged Market Maker, and then progressed to business analysis and project management initially at HSBC and then JPMorgan and BNP Paribas, with nearly 20 years experience in the Fixed Income trading business area. His particular skills are in global electronic trading systems and integration with external systems, with a background in Rates Analytics and the design, building and testing of bond pricing systems and bilateral e-trading portals.
Garry worked in Fixed Income trading for 24 years at Citibank, Barclays and BNP Paribas. His most recent role was European Head of Flow Rates Trading for BNP Paribas, where he was in charge of a team of forty traders.
As a trading desk head, Garry learned the importance having the best technology when contributing prices to multiple electronic trading platforms.
Since 2012, Garry has been working as a private investor. He co-founded and runs an FCA regulated consumer finance company and retains a keen interest in the financial markets.
